About Electric Care

Founded in 1988 as a small, home-based business, Electric Care began with a singular vision: to provide reliable, high-quality electrical solutions. Initially focused on the design and installation of temperature control systems integrated with Building Management Systems (BMS), the company quickly expanded due to growing demand for our specialised expertise

Over the years, Electric Care has grown into a trusted name in electrical, building automation, and energy management, delivering smart, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions across South Africa.

Despite our growth, we remain true to our roots: committed to integrity, technical excellence, and long-term partnerships with our clients.

Meet the Founder: Brian John “Johnny” Lee

Widely known in the industry as Johnny Lee, he founded Electric Care in 1988, bringing decades of expertise and a reputation for excellence.

Qualified through the Johannesburg City Council in 1979, earning distinctions in all subjects and the Craft Shield Award for Apprentice of the Year. Obtained his Wireman’s Licence in the same year.. Completed all courses offered by SAIRAC (South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning), receiving the Certificate of Diligence for Best Applied Student of the Year.

Johnny continues to oversee quotations, tenders, and commissioning, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of quality and professionalism. His hands-on leadership and passion for excellence remain the driving force behind Electric Care’s success.

Joining Electric Care in 2008, Lynn has been instrumental in managing and streamlining administrative operations. She oversees supplier sourcing, staff recruitment, and compliance, ensuring the company operates efficiently and maintains its high standards.

Debbie Lee

Debbie Lee – Office Manager & Accounts/Payroll Administrator

Since joining in 2010, Debbie has been a cornerstone of daily operations, managing accounts, payroll, HR functions, and ensuring the smooth running of the office. Her organisation and attention to detail underpin the company’s operational efficiency.
